The Artist Is Present

What is presence? Nowadays, if something isn’t in the social media, it´s existence is questionable. How does this dependency of internet and social media affect human interaction?
These were the main questions I was studying in the work ”The Artist Is Present”. It is a homage to Marina Abramovic and her famous performance by the same name. The difference between these two performances lays in the slight twist of realization, which binds my performance directly to our time. Instead of looking in the eyes of the person sitting in front of me, I was browsing my smart phone during the whole performance avoiding any direct contact to the physical world.
