Time & Place: 5.12. 2015-19.12.2015 Einar Jonsson Museum, Reykjavik, Iceland
The Sculptor Einar Jonsson is one of the key characters in Icelandic art history. The Einar Jonsson Museum is in the same building where he used to live. Einar Jonsson couldn´t stand children, and he didn´t allow children in his house when he was alive.
Museums and other institutional buildings are stiff, static and bureaucratic environments with a strict code of behavior. What happens when an element from the world of children is brought in such adult run environment?
