According to my mother, banana was the first fruit I ever tasted. When I was a teenager I started to collect banana labels. Gone Bananas is a series of paintings based on my banana label collection. Why are exotic fruit, such as bananas, taken for granted as a commonplace product in Scandinavian

supermarkets? Dozens of magnified banana labels reflect the piercing abundance and the endless variety which western consumers encounter every day.
